The 2010 Summer Reading Club continues on as we have two great programs on "WHALES" coming to our library from the Carnegie Museum of Natural History.

These programs will be on July 21 for preschoolers and those attending Kindergarten; and July 22 for grades 1 through 5.

This summer you can read your way into PNC Park, home of the Pittsburtgh Pirates, by participating in "Pirates Tales", a program brought to you by Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh and the Pittsburgh Pirates.

If you are between the ages of 6 - 12, you can sign up for "Pirates Tales" until August 6, 2010 by reading as many books as you want. The books you read for Jefferson Hills Library's Summer Reading Club can be used for this event.

After August 6, six lucky children from each participating library will be chosen in a random drawing to receive 2 tickets to a Pirates game and a special storytime with a Pirates celebrity and the Pirate Parrot at PNC Park on September 19, 2010.

The Pittsburgh Pirates and Jefferson Hills Library are proud to offer this program and encourage the importance of reading. If you have any querstions, feel free to ask your Librarian.
